Price drops, short codes, and so many changes!

The Daisychain Team

A few quick updates from Daisychain as we close out the month:

📉 MMS Prices are Dropping!

Starting with June usage, our standard prices for regular MMS messages is dropping from $0.05 (five cents) per message to $0.035 per message (3.5 cents). We’re able to make this change thanks to increased volume from our clients, which enables our team to negotiate better rates from our upstream providers. If you're a current Daisychain client, you'll see this change reflected on your invoices starting in July (for MMS messages sent in June). We hope this pricing change makes Daisychain more accessible to a variety of organizations with budgets large and small.

âś… Changes to Opted In Status
We’ve added a third subscription status to Daisychain called “Textable”, in addition to “Opted In” and “Opted Out” -- opening up possibilities for short-code messaging. You no longer need to include an "opt-in" column on your spreadsheet for textable people unless the people you would like to mark them as affirmatively opted in. Check out our support article for more info, and don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions on how this works.

đź’¬ Short Codes are Coming!
Short codes are five or six-digit numbers that are particularly good at sending large volumes of messages extremely quickly with sky-high deliverability. Currently, you can use Daisychain to text people using a “Toll Free Verified” phone number or a “10DLC” local phone number – but we’ve been making some changes in Daisychain to pave the way for short-code texting. If your organization is interested in using short-codes in Daisychain to message your list of opted-in subscribers, just reply to this email to let us know.

New Feature: Suggested Quick Replies

Quick Replies got smarter. Daisychain can now suggest the most relevant Quick Reply based on an incoming message from your supporter, and pre-populate the message in the composition box. Our hope is that this saves valuable time, keeps conversations moving, and eliminates a bit of busywork.
